I don't want to hijack the thread, but Irony tools has been down for at least two weeks that I know of. I really miss that site. I hope it comes back.

Please, if you use a smoke para-elemental in your game, post the results here!
I'm not the creator of this thread but I did recently run a campaign featuring that 'Smoke Elemental' from lost, as well as the Island as a whole.

I used the base stats for an Elder Air Elemental and gave it a more sinister twist and description.

My Players had been sent on a mission to recover the cargo of a missing ship the 'Marie Celeste' and had been given the use of a ship and a map of the vessel's course which led them fairly close to the Island in question. Their vessel was attacked by a pair of Roc's that were nesting on the Island and washed on shore to find that the ship they we're looking for had suffered a simalar fate. They were confronted by a surviving trio of sailors from the Marie Celeste who hoped they had a way off the Island.

The Spellcasters quickly realized that for whatever reason, any and all forms of Teleportation they had only worked from points on the island to other points on the island, they couldn't warp off. After giving the players a basic run down of the Islands threats and location the party was ambushed by the Smoke creature and the three sailors were dragged screaming into the jungle, much to the shock of my players.

I managed to get a great jump out of my players and kept them on their toes for the entire compaign, giving them glimpses and hints of the creature's presents culminating in a final battle with the creature. In the end I never fully explained the creature to them and left it a mystery for them to imagine for themselves.

Bummer.

I used to use that site for all my world building needs. The fractal world map generator was used for my last waterery world map...

I also miss the original 3e tools that this site had hosted. They seem to have disappeared when the site got a new look.
