I just wanted some input on how I should price the following magic items.
"Short Sword of Confidence"
This sword acts as a +1 short sword (for the remainder of the combat encounter) only if the wielder successfully strikes an opponent with his very first attack in the combat encounter. Otherwise (if he misses), it functions as a normal shortsword.
“Orb/ Glove of observation”
The benefits of this magic item are available only when used in conjunction with a distinct enchanted glove. When wearing the glove the user’s vision originates from the orb. Vision through the orb is entirely panoramic. While wearing the glove the user has no natural sight. The use of this item can be physically disorienting and therefore combat or movement while wearing the glove consists of all the same penalties as those applied to a blinded character (except the user can still make spot checks in the viewable region that the orb grants). The type of vision through the orb coincides with the user’s natural vision type (i.e. Darkvision, Low-light Vision, and Normal Vision). The wearer of the glove maintains vision through the orb no matter how far away the orb may be.
