Dremel is a hand-held electric rotary tool. Its a bit industrial-strength for a lot of miniature applications, but I have used mine a fair bit. Definitely re-carving bases is a great application for it; it doenst require too much finesse and its quick. I believe they are about $50, so, unfortunately, its not a cheap-yet-incredibly-useful item. Like a pin-vise is. ;-)

This is probably the one i'll use for the female rog/rgr, but that is EXACTLY the image i want for the female cleric...

You might already be aware, but Reaper also has some seriously cool weapons packs if you want to give your cleric something more a bit more bashing!
