Just for you, I'll put the two idiots on ignore as the mods here- nevermind the rest of that statement. Not worth talking about fools. They'll only beat you with experience.

Is it four mods, or five, who have spoken to you now?

The "I'll continue whatever the mods say" comments had you on shaky ground to start with. Lumping a personal attack on Patryn after Pielorinho asked you to keep the feud off the board into the same message in which you refer to the mods as fools was, perhaps, ill-advised.

Come back in three days if you can follow the rules a little better.

How about a polearm user? Spear, Heavy Poleax, Dwarven Warpike, etc. Choose something which could be readied against charge. Then buy steadfast boots. With appropriate feats like Combat Reflex and Hold the Line, you can be a real guardian of entire party. Cleave work very well with those weapons, too.

Maybe a monk with a longspear? Say, Ftr 2/Monk 6 with Serpent Strike (from Eberron, requires WF (longspear) and flurry of blows class feature) and allows you to flurry with a longspear. That way, you can have reach and still kick the snot out of people next to you. Unfortunately, this would be really feat-heavy, and you don't have nearly the feats for it.

A marshal or bard would be really good, actually.

Alternately...you've noted that all the roles are covered, so, really, you can be whatever the heck you want. If there's something you wanted to play, do it!

In this case, I'd be sorely tempted to do a warlock.

Fighter/Rogue/Lasher with Whirlwind Attack...think of all the free sneak attacks you'd get with a whip dagger when you whirlwind attack and make trip attacks against all enemies within 15' of you then come back around for your free sneak attack on the prone targets. And you could call him a swashbuckler.

Two things - a prone creature doesn't lose his Dex bonus, so you don't get to sneak attack just because he's prone... and Whirlwind Attack doesn't allow extra attacks from feats or abilities, so there's no 'come back around' with a free attack from Improved Trip (if that's what you were referring to).

The Scout might be good at giving you a roguish character without being a rogue (you get trapfinding, but no sneak attack, and a few other combat abilities instead).

Something with Monk could be fun as well. And still be a "different" fighter.

how about an archer ranger? Always fun, though it looks like you need more upfront muscle.

Some of the tactical feats are fun if you have access to them, look for one or two you like and build for them

Looking at what you've listed as party memeber so far it appears the party is range attack heavy with one semi-exception (the great sword/archer PC- although IMO a character can really be only good at one of the two and somewhat decent at the other but not really as good as possible if they are aplit).

Some combination involving barbarian might be real handy. BArbarian/fighter is an intersting comb. Picks up some bonus feats from fighter, some special abilities from barbarian (increased movement and rage) and in general focuses on melee combat without losing any BAB. A PC that protects the ranged attackers (and more specifically the spell casters) is really important IMO.

How about a Lizardfolk Rogue / Barbarian with Combat Reflexes, a Glaive and Improved Natural Attack (Bite)?

I'd echo the others, a fairly upfront fighter could be good for this group.

Halfling Rogue/Barbarian - something I've been meaning to try for a while.

If you have the book of exalted cheese, a Barbarian/Champion of Gynhaflyr (sic?) is pretty sick. Basically turns you into a Barbarian/Paladin. Ouchy!

Some mix of Paladin/Cleric/Fighter + Fist of Raziel can be munched together in interesting ways.

Fighter/Occult Slayer if you run into a lot of spellcasters or things with spell like abilities. Take the mage slayer feats from complete arcane to make it worse.

Mounted combat specialist - play a small race and take a riding dog - if you're ever indoors you can (arguably) still ride it. I'd go for Halfling Paladin 6:Fighter 2 - heading towards cavalier. Edit: We play without multiclass penalties - probably not a great idea if you don't. :)

Halfling Rogue2/Paladin6 sounds fun, too. Evasion + really great saves = a nightmare for NPC spellcasters.
