I've personally DM'ed groups thru a few of the Necromancer modules, and I also own nearly all of them they've published to date. Their adventures tend to be pretty heavy on the combat, and feature a few traps, but typically have smaller amounts of roleplaying, at least compared to other adventures I've run. Here's a quick summary the ones I'm most familiar with:
Siege of Durgam's Folly - Designed for 4 to 6 characters of level 5 to 8. When my group played this, I think we had 6 at 6th or 7th. Party can start in a nearby town and is asked to help escort a caravan to a nearby keep. However, the keep has been taken over by humanoids, so once there, the party must help retake it. Besides that, theres stuff inside to keep to explore and some very unexpected, but interesting foes to battle including a number of new monsters. Since a big part of this adventure is the keep battle, it's important to have a big battle map and lots of figurines or counters to track where the enemies are. There's also a free supplement that someone made that is worth using. Overall, the adventure is very heavy on combat that will challenge most any party. Check out the reviews in the review section here on Enworld for more info.
Hall of the Rainbow Mage - Designed for 4 to 6 characters of level 7 to 9. (Can be run after Siege of Durgam's Folly pretty easily.) A famous mage is missing, and the party is hired to find him. They may begin by searching his home eventually finding some important clues about his activities. Further information points them to an ancient temple housing ancient magics as well as ancient evils. This adventure features a number of traps. There is more opportunity for role-playing at certain points, but once again, there's a very heavy dose of combat as well. There are some new monsters and magic items too. The treasure in this adventure is a bit much though, so if you plan to use it in a continuing campaign, you may want to cut back on the magic items and gold.
If I had to recommend only one of these two, I'd say the Hall of the Rainbow mage is likely to be a better one to use.
