Demonic guardian hounds are three-headed advanced hell hounds.

Combat

Breath Weapon (Su): Each of demonic guardian hound's three heads may create a 30-foot cone of fire every 2d4 rounds. The attack deals 1d4+1 points of fire damage (Reflex DC 21 half). The fiery breath also ignites any flammable materials within the cone. All three heads may breathe at once, and the creature may use its breath while biting.

Fire Subtype (Ex): A demonic guardian hound has fire immunity, and it takes double damage from cold except on a successful save.

Outsider Traits: A demonic guardian hound has darkvision with a 90-foot range. It cannot be raised or resurrected (though a wish or miracle spell can restore life).

Scent (Ex): A demonic guardian hound can detect approaching enemies, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell.

Skills: A demonic guardian hound receives a +5 racial bonus on Hide and Move Silently checks. Because of its two extra heads, it also gains a +4 racial bonus on Listen, Search and Spot checks. *It gains a +8 racial bonus on Spot checks and Wilderness Lore checks when tracking by scent, due to its keen sense of smell.

This is from Wizard's website. Just advance it a bit to get CR 15, but there are probably about a million and a half different stat blocks for cerberus on the web.

IT's that time again! :)
2) Color = Orange, Animal = Pig, Planet = Jupiter. The more these can be incoroporated into the monsters, the better. Ideally, I need something of around CR 14-15 to be an effective BBEM for Gluttony. What monsters already fit this type? What can be made to fit it? Also consider Cerberus...what kind of three-headed canines can I find to hit that CR range abouts (around 10 for the minor foes is fine)?

Maybe an extremely obese pig-man, with a personality and some abilities borrowed from Zeus of greek myth? (IE, can cast lightning bolt, has fathered several half-fiends through mortals (the problem of course, being that your players have already finished lust...), etc...)

The image that immediately pops into my mind when I think gluttony is the image of FACELESS (from the animated motion picture Spirited Away) after he begins his gluttonous eating marathon at the bathhouse. I wish I had stats for a big ugly gluttonous froglike being similar to this.

You know... Satyrs are the fey embodiment of reveling and partying in excess... Perhaps this "Angel of Gluttony" should be served by satyrs with the abyssal template and aspects of the fatling added on top of them. Kind of like a twisted mockery of the "healthy" hedonism of a satyr.

Going along with the glamer idea, they're vieled in illusion to appear to be normal satyrs until the characters begin to pierce the illusion and uncover aspects of the truth.

I think that NIfft's suggestions are all really good. As is the hunger spirit that Breakdaddy mentioned from the Movie spirited away. And the famine spirit is a tremendous picture, use it even if you don't plan on using the monster as is.

It seems to me that gluttony is more of a sin when there is a lack of food. Having an extra rice ball isn't a big deal when you can go to the local store and get another. It becomes a moral sin when there are only two and you eat two and someone else gets one.

Random thought: Cannibal celestials
What about a celestial who got really into food and wine. Eating the best of everything. Eventually (over thousands of years) s/he became jaded and began to search for rarer and rarer things to eat. In addition to sensation it began to believe that consuming creatures could grant it their power. And, as everybody knows, belief in planescape can be pretty reality altering.
Eventually the celestial was regularly consuming the flesh of sentient creatures like humans and gaining power from them. Finally it killed another celestial and ate it and fell from grace. After it's fall it tried to ambush and eat a demi-god and was imprisoned in Carceri for it's crimes.

I would go for a 3-headed boar-like fiend with mouths for hands on long tentacles (or maybe tentacles coming off it's back). Its RISP (really-irritating-scary-power) is that if it hits someone and takes a chunk out of them it gains part of their power (the easiest way to do this is probably a negative level). And if a spell caster looses a spell (which they usually do from level drain) it gains the ability to use that spell once.

And tell us about Lust please. I was sad that thread was added to my victims list.

PS Like the fat-saytr idea too!

The bachea are another example of feasting taken to an excess. People who stay with them must take not to become a bachea themselves. Somehow I also have to think about Pinochio - who is changed into a donkey after having feasted for a long time and now has to work till his death.

Carceri btw is two planes down from Pandomonium - the Abyss lies between them.

Hi!

I could imagine yet another cause of an angel falling to gluttony:

He started as a extremly abstinent angel. Once he tried to enforce this on a Prime. He succeeded at last and all alkohol, smoking and all other drugs were banned. But the mortals there became first unsatisfied, then angry and even hateful and violent against each other in the end. The whole world erupted in chaos and crime.
Being the cause of all this evil, his bad conscience led the angel to the conclusion, that he had to experience the sins he wanted to fight himself for a better understanding. Slowly but certainly (and sadly) he lost control over the whole process. He was seeking full understanding and to get it he also needed full experience, so he thought. When he finally accepted a Gra'azt's offer to taste a special drug made from souls, he was cast out of heaven.

Just my idea...

Absolutely scrumptious.....pun fully intended. :)

Okay, I think that it'll definately be on an orb in Carceri, and it'll start out appropriately hellish....with dire boars and the 'hellhound' guardians (who are going to be pigs vomiting acid, but no real mechanical differences).

After penetrating this, and being hit with the boar's HUNGER breath weapon, they'll be thrust into 'paradise,' in the inner sanctum, with galavanting satyrs and people that treat them very nicely...even treating them to the food. They'll say that the boars WERE the guardians, that they've already slaughtered Gluttony, and that they're now free....but first, they need to throw a party!

Of course, keen observers will be able to spot at first that the trees are actually the punished souls, subsisting on filth and being plucked of their organs and innards for the feast....though convincing others of that might be a problem.

The 'guest of honor' at the feast, whom the naitives claim is the fallen celestial, is actually GLUTTONY, and as the Main Course, he'll serve up the fallen celestial. If the PC's eat him, not only are they doomed, but they'll also be stuck in the place FOREVER! (E.g.: The next characters they make will be meeting them...hehehehe). Of course, to build up to it, GLUTTONY and his companions need to initiate a 'hunt of the fiendish boar' for the fallen celestial, and it may take them a while to find and kill it....several days....

Of course, to counter this feast, the PC's must find and harnass the power of forbearance, of temperance, of FASTING. I'm not quite sure how they'll do that yet...find some plant to put in the feast? Something?

And that can dispell the illusion. And then, after the scuffle with GLUTTONY, the celestial can tell his tale...

Okay, I still need something to represent the power of forbearance, and a way to use it on GLUTTONY. Ideally, I also need stats for one monster (CR 15-ish) to represent GLUTTONY......last stages....can anyone help?

Needs a freaking huge horizonal maw on its stomach, with the ability to swallow and with an extradimensional storage area in its stomach, which has powerful acid-of course.

There's also an oni outsider in Oriental Adventures that's based off of gluttony
