Yes. Or at least their character. What do you think was the inspiration for Tolkien's orcs? JRRT was an Oxford prof. :)

I could be wrong (my info is second hand) but I think it's longer than a year.

We have a Cambridge BA in our office and I don't think she's got her free MA yet, despite it definitely being over a year since she graduated (she's a qualified architect). I'll ask her about it next time she comes down stairs.

Of course, Oxford & Cambridge could be different.

You're right. My bad :o . It's four years after most students graduate (actually, it's seven after they matriculate) plus a small fee.
