I meant 'not dissimilar' in the sense that what is intuitively obvious doesn't necessarily mesh with the RAW.
It's rather silly for Extend to do (effectively) nothing for Heat Metal.
It's also rather silly for Extend to more than triple the damage output of Creeping Cold.
