Help Pallas the Alchemist

So, I've got this character who is mainly a wizard and I wanted her highest skill to be alchemy so she is maxed out for ranks in alchemy. It was really fun in the beginning, I got better and better at making alchemical items and, at level two or three, that 1d6 from an alchemist's fire was a pretty neat trick to have up my sleave. As time went on, Pallas (the character) was able to make her alchemical items more and more quickly. However, consider Pallas now (fourteenth level): that 1d6 is a joke compared to my 5d6 fireball and the dc on a tanglefoot bag would only be a problem for creatures that I could kill in one hit with my mace, anyway.

I love the alchemy skill, and I love the alchemical items that exist...but I've been neglecting the skill for a long time because the items simply aren't usefull to me anymore. Can anyone help me come up with a way to pump up the damage on a alchemist's fire or the dc on a tanglefoot? I'd really appreciate any advice!

Uhm Adept of the Flame by S&SS in Player's Guide to Wizards, Bards and Sorcerers might be something to look at. It's got some nice ways to be fire proof and make some potent alchemist fire...

Well, I'd let you increase the damage by 1d6 for every 10 points you beat the DC by. And maybe a +2 to the save DC for the bags.
