Hey guys so me and my team are going to be going against demon lords. What would be the best possible magic long sword or greatsword that I would be able to use

A wooden one. Because they won't be expecting it and they will roll around laughing when you produce it, which gives your buddies advantage. It's called a chortle sword. It's a bit like a vorpal sword, except your opponents laugh their heads off. Your bard will tell you where you can buy one.

Only joking.

Is your DM letting you choose any magic sword, no limits? You don't have to go adventuring to get it?

By the way you are kinda getting joke answers because its such a broad list of options which doesn't really make sense, generally in 5e you can't pick out a weapon and grab it, and if your DM has granted you this, they usually slap some restrictions on it. There are some VERY powerful swords which might win the fight for you.

Vorpal - Roll 20 on an attack, OFF WITH HIS HEAD!
Sword of Kas - All sorts of bonuses, (some random) if you keep your sanity..
Blackrazor - Free haste and tons of free hp with every kill
Moonblade - Potentially a +3 finnesse, throwing, keen, vorpal, spell storing sword..

Greatsword of Fiend-Slaying. If you KNOW the BBEGs will be demons, you can specialize a bit: Greatsword of Demon Slaying, plus bargain with a devil to help you p.s. this sword is no great threat to him.

Do you have access to 3e Masters of Ruin and Champions of Valor? (I may have the names mangled a bit) Locate Dornavver - it is designed to do what you want.

In my Tiamat campaign, the group's Ranger got a critical hit on Arauthator (Ancient White Dragon, the way I amped him up) with a longbow-fired Arrow of Dragon Slaying. That alone took 20% of his HP. A Weapon of Monster-Slaying should work out just fine.
