Ok I'm a Gnomish caster in the Scarred Lands and I'm just about to pick up the feat Craft Wonderous Item and well... my character likes to play practical jokes (Ex. One of the characters was bed ridden to get rid of some temp status effects and I routinly woke him up by zapping him with Disrupt Undead (no damage to undead but sent tingly feelings through him) while he was sleeping. Of course he wasn't very happy with me.).
Well... with this newfound ability, I have decided that it is a PERFECT opportunity to step-up both the quality, and quantity of my practical jokes. Though, despite my mischivous nature, I think I need some helps with ideas.
To start with here is a description of our party:
Gaarkal (Half Minotaur, Half Blue Dragon) - Lakraag is the 'tank' of the party because of his MASSIVE strength. However, he is also our one and only cleric. His character has made the game somewhat unbalanced in that a few places where we SHOULDN'T have been able to go... well the DM allowed him to burrow through the walls of the dungeon. This has lead to a sort of 'invincible' arrogance from him (even though he has only 1 HP more than I). He is one of my main targets... and I want some ideas on how to mess with him.
We are a level 3 party, so any spells attached to the item need to be within that range, and I'd prefer not to HARM him or hinder his character in anyway so I want to lean towards illusions.
Eus (Halfling Thief) - Character relations between us have been rather strained due to the fact that my character insulted her and tried to feed her pet cat to Gaarkal (she got it back by threatening to kill my familiar). Player relations are kind of strained simply because I like to make jokes about her being a halfling (size etc... even though I'm the same size), I generally get blamed for any of the jokes the party makes... but that's not so bad. Ideas that I've had and a few others have given me is to:
Give the cat a sweater to change it's color/appearance
Give her a 'leash' which daily changes the tethered beast (her cat) into a random animal of equal size (probably just an image of one because of the limitations of my casting)
Give her a 'leash' which daily casts mirror image on her cat (she wakes up to find 5 identical cats roaming around her room)
Give her a cursed item which won't leave her grip until she says a command word (such as my character is her master, nothing nasty, but enough to razz her) and which makes her become smaller each day until it is removed (she's already 3 ft tall since she's a halfling).
Muliph (Monk) - One of the characters I'm most reluctant to mess with because he has repeatedly saved me from certain doom... mostly by jumping in front of stuff and pulling dogs off of me. His player can't wait to level so he can get alot of cool abilities, though not much roleplaying in his character... there isn't much in the game to begin with, mostly combat.
Ideas: None
Silloev (Elven Thief) - Has been caught trying to steal from the party once, and he is always trying to 'one up' Eus even though she doesn't notice, or appear to notice. He should be easy to mess with since anything out of wack and his player will try and stab me (if it's a good prank, it will be worth it).
Reg (Human Fighter) - General human tank... patient though announces when he is bored. Has a... ah.. .liking... for alcoholic beverages. His player is reserved and definatly the quietest of the group, but a good guy if you can get him to mingle. He generally jumps in at random points with an idea to a problem, or just to keep the game flowing (we frequently get sidetracked).
Ideas: Something to do with his love of alcohol... even though it doesn't occur much. Something to make his beer taste good or bad based on a common command word (at least common for a bar).
The last and hardest character is:
Eric (Human Fighter) - he is 'technically' part of the party but is more loyal to the town guard (Hollowfaust) since thats who he works for. He is a 'guiding' force I want to say since he is a catalyst for the main part of the storyline because of his connections to authorities. He was the person my character met first... and has been attached to since (I was a witness to an 'incident' he was investigating and he hasn't been able to get rid of me). He doesn't seem to hate my character's attachment to him he generally takes it in good humor but I'm not sure if he activly LIKES the group or is just doing it because he was ordered to watch us by his superiors.
The BIGGEST problem about him is he is the one who gave me the idea for the feat 'Craft Wonderous Item'. He is also a DM for another game that I play in so I don't want to piss him off (though he doesn't seem to mind pranks... he was the one who was bed ridden in my example up top). Also... a motivation for some of you... he is our very own Terraism
and of course NEEDS some pranks.
I am also allowing him to read this thread because he gave me some of the ideas for the pranks and he gave me the idea for the feat... I also expect you guys to swarm me with ideas for him since he is a member of the community.
Any and all ideas will help! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
