I seem to remember a thread (maybe even on here) that said that between Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware, you're only removing 54% of the spyware on your computer. You might try Spysweeper from Webroot (30 day free trial) to see if there is more spyware on your machine than you thought.

It runs in my mind that between Spysweeper and Giant (the company that M$ bought out and now offers as a beta, but only for 2000 and XP), you'll remove 70% of the spyware.....

But I've slept since then, and my memory isn't that stable either.....

Looks like you've got most of the problem solved. Have you defragged the hard drive? I didn't see that mentioned. It is needed even with modern file systems.
