Here are a few of the many things I really like about the game:
1. Character customiztion. With the defects and new feats, character creation hasn't been this fun in a long time. Ever wanted a soldier that relied on his wits in combat instead of his strength and dexterity? It's there. I love the way the feats are used to affect attack and defense rolls. Brilliant.
2. I love the way armor and shields are handled. Armor absorbs damage and so do shields - sometimes. Sometimes shields make you harder to hit.
3. I like the combat options for striking called shots and so forth.
4. Shock Value. No longer will a 10th level character scoff at a commoner with a crossbow pointed at their chests. Death could be a trigger pull away.
5. Fatigue rules. These are cool and make the feats like Endurance relevant again.
