Casablanca is the movie that I can watch more often. Citizen Kane, while a great movie, is not one that can really be watched over and over and over again.

I really wonder what it would have been like to have watched Kane without knowing what Rosebud was. Even with that knowledge, though, it's still a stirring scene when we discover the truth.

Huh. I always thought it was kinda cheap, like something a studio made him do. I'm suer that wasn't the case, but it felt like a way to sentimentalize a very cynical story.

As for me? Kane's a better movie, but I'd rather watch Casablanca. It's just more fun.

For me the movie was not ruined before I saw it so that scene and the power was there when I forst saw it. It does seem a little odd by todays standards, but the movie was made in a very different era.
