I am excited!

I love that they jump INTO the gelatinous cube to avoid the displacer beast.
Anyone else see a Red Wizard of Thay?
Yeah in a couple scenes. In the upside down unleashing the evil horn thing and they're fighting one at the end who teleports around the battlefield. (Maybe the same one)

Also speaking of that evil horn. Is it an existing piece of D&D lore?

I’m betting money that’s Hugh Grant’s character, with him foreshadowing earlier in the trailer by flipping a gold dragon coin
Looks like more like a copper dragon to me. Plus I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a bad guy. I think they'll stay on brand for that.

This one appears to have advantages that the prior D&D movies didn't have. Like a budget. And actors. And a couple of studios that really, really, really want to have a new franchise to sell movies and TV shows under.
"Appears" is the important word here. Like others, I am cautiously optimistic...

Ok this looks genuinely fun!

Remember new brand is “Monsters without alignments” but I don’t disagree with your thought process here :D
