Good video on what is actually in the adventure and booklets. Still will look to buy even though my group will not need the PC cards and such, but the adventure and maps are a big draw for me. I guess I could get the PDF and make the maps if I want to be cheap and it would still play fine. It will need some work to plan and expand into a whole campaign, but looks to be worth it.

I wonder if the PC stuff would be useful for a new player in a different campaign outside the box.

Say a new person wants to join, I wonder if offering them one of the PCs and their cards would be a good way to start them.

The more i see it the more i like! While it's a little more expansive than other D&D Starter Sets, i think it packs more than ever before.

I just have reserve concerning the story.

Disappointing that the booklets have the same physical properties as the Phandelver booklets, which was by far the worst aspect of that set.

The tree outside the kobold lair that was packed with kobold snipers in the original (hope you brought a lot of hirelings!) has been chopped down, presumably by surviving OG adventurers.
