Well Miramax FINALLY releases it in the US, and the reviews have been good. So what d'ya think?
Well, after two years of waiting, DVDs bought all that time ago...and now here.

TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

Anyone who hasn't seen it as of yet.

Make the time to watch it.

No spoilers here...:)

Eh, relatively underwhelmed by it. Great story, but the cinematography was very jerky and distracting, I thought. Now, maybe that was the style they were going for, but it just didn't work for me. Out of ten, I'd give it a six I think - decent, but not great.

I enjoyed it and thought it was a very visually impressive movie. Didn't think the story was great, but was nothing horrible. However I didn't go in expecting a top notch story. I was expecting impressive visuals and fights. I got what I was looking for.

Its subtitled.

I thought it was very good, and also thought it was visually impressive.
I'll probably see it again in the theatre to get the big screen effect.

i've seen it 8 times now (various vcd and dvd incarnations before the big screen debut) and i love it. aside from the blatant communist propaganda, the soundtrack and use of color do it to me every time.

Damn it's subtitled! My other half hates sub titles. Maybe I will omit that fact when we are at the box office.

The Seraph of Earth and Stone

I thought the movie looked cool, but noticed in the commercials that they never say a word. But, I couldn't find a definitive source that said "subtitle" or what. For a while, I wondered it maybe it was a silent movie. :)

I wonder how many people went to the theater not knowing it was subtitled?
