Hero System still much better than d20!!!

Hey Bugaboo glad to see you are back! We have been Troll free for months and I needed to test the old WOFB heheheheh

OK, I hate to diagree with a green regeneration abomination (or is that abberation?) but I find Hero unplayable

I used to own Champions 1,2,3, Fantasy Hero (very good) Robot Hero, Beastiary, Justice Inc, and Danger International

I have played Hero a few times

I just think the system is slow to make characters, prone to math abuse (all systems are abusable but Hero is really bad) the combat phasing system is horribly slow.

The powers system, while comprehensive and thorough simply isn't fun and Hero acts too much like and old school RPG wargame for me

I actaully loathe the system and put it on the "I will not play this period" list

Hero's on the list of games that I would play any time it's offered. In fact, the opportunity to play put the DC area on the relocation possibilities list for me. Fantasy Hero's spell system combined the best aspects of Gimpmaster while retaining the cinematic heroism possibilities of D&D.

1. Don't insult people. This is hardly a new rule; did you suddenly forget it? If you don't care for someone, that's what we have the "ignore" feature for.

2. Are you perhaps thinking of someone else? I have never seen Bugaboo whiny, petulant or huffy.

I don't think so... Unless I'm completely mis-remembering things, and the whole "Anyone who thinks my Anthrax jokes aren't funny is a moron" thing was the work of someone else.

Most likely one of Bugaboo's "How much do you charge your players?" threads, actually, but the quality sadly declined with time.

I'm a Hero System player. I like the Hero System more than D20...but I would never start a ... thread like this.

The [guy] that started this thread make Hero players look bad....Hope they ban this [guy].

I don't know, I think that d20 is a much better system than Hero.

For starters, the d20 system only has 3 digits in its name, which makes it 25% faster to write or type. The Hero system wastes far too much time with 4 digits in its name.
