Heroes 10-23-06

Random thought (and I'd have to watch the eps again to see if it holds up): is it possible that Niki doesn't just have a split personality, but is physically splitting into two people?

Yeah, and they confirmed it in the elevator when she switched personalities in front of the crony and then proceeded to get "Medevil on his Buttocks".

Also, on other characters, does anyone think Claire's adoptive dad had things arranged so that she made "available" for adoption. For that matter does anyone believe she has also had her mind erased early on by dad's mindwiping telepathic crony and "placed" with him knowing she was important enough out of the ones they knew of? His whole family might be a plant via mindwipe and telepathy or at the very least he's had his families minds altered to "remember" Claire as their daughter/ sister.

Seems very unlikely. We see her shift between personas in the elevator, and then normal Nikki wakes up where Naughty Nikki went before.

There has to be a physical aspect to it though. One has a tattoo and the other doesn't.

TV.com is reporting that Heroes is the number one rated new show this fall, which makes me happy as I feared that something this good would go the way of Firefly.
What has been interesting is it's increase in views, from 25 million to 45 in just 3 weeks.

Spoiler about Sylar (which may or may not be a spoiler, since I've only seen the first three episodes so far):

IMDB lists Sylar as being played by the inimitable Sean Bean, otherwise known as Richard Sharpe and Boromir. Has his face been seen yet in any of the recent episodes?

In answer to Piratecat's spoiler: No, he hasn't, but that's interesting!

Just to prove that Hiro (or more appropriatly, the actor Masi Oka) is a true geek's geek:News Article

That's fantastic! I knew there was a reason I liked him. :) Makes me wonder how much is from script and how much is ad-lib. :)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this earlier. In next week's TV Guide they have a very short blurb about the show: On the November 21st episode there will be a flashback (six months) showing how they got their powers. That would sorta indicate that they aren't mutants after all.
Which I'd be willing to bet involves Claire's dad. Notice twice he used the line about knowing the heroes better than they know themselves (re: Nathan and Claire.) And with the FBI flipflop on Matt ("Wait a minute. This guy might be for real, and we're not terribly surprised. Let's have him work with us.") I'd guess the government is in on it to some degree.
