More like they're running dangerously low on creative juice, and the writers' strike isn't helping any.coriolis said:
I hope the studios' suits get their heads out of their asses. It's one thing for them to fool writers to give up on the videotape/DVD royalties, it's quite another for the viewing of shows over the internet.

Hey.... I called Maya by Sylar - and risen from the dead. And I called Nikki...
But little did I know they weren't counting Mulligans!!
I did suggest Adrian Pasdar should be readying his resume if they were bringing down another Season 1 Hero - but I never thought they would do it!

Nathan and Nikki - may have not got the cause but the question, will they stay dead!

This episode saddened me due to the writer stupidity and the amount of character protection they handed out. Lets start with Hiro...
Hiro should have died three times:
1. Hiro beheaded by Adam after Electrocution.
2. Hiro by Peter via telekinetic crush after charging Adam
3. Hiro by Adam during monologue via throat slash.
Hiro should have killed Adam vampire style (head cut off with a stake through the skull and then buried in concrete.
Maya SHOULD HAVE remained dead after her getting shot by Sylar.
Sylar should have been taken out gangland style by Surresh AND Elle.
However, even after all those missed chances some people did die...
1. Countless Primatec rent-a-cops by Adam and Peter
2. Unknown thug who kidnapper Monica (via beating by Nikki)
3. Nikki Ironically burned to death and blown to bits (too bad DL wasn't there to save her).
4. Nathan Patrelli via assassination
The following people guessed that Nikki would die when freeing Monica, or that she would die some how..

Remus Lupin
Steel_Wind
Hand of Evil (partial credit due to incorrect cause of death)
The following people guessed correctly that Nathan would die..
Hand of evil (partial credit due to incorrect cause of death.)
Grymar (partial credit due to incorrect cause of death)
It appears that the closest person we have to a winner is Hand of Evil since he foresaw that both Nathan AND Nikki would die even though he guessed the method wrong for both.
However, I would like to add that Remus Lupin and Steel_wind both deserve an honorable mention since they were screwed over by the writers. Honestly, what was the point of bringing back Maya? Her brother's dead and her story's over she has no reason to live.

Oh god no... The image of Maya taking a central role as Mohinder or Matt's love interest makes me want to burn my cable box. Hell even having her become Matt and Mohinder's maid is too much for my sanity EVEN if her role is scaled down to Lyle Bennet proportions.
