Irene is able to get to her feet with Coriana’s help. She leans against the adventurer, clearly only vaguely aware of her surroundings and what is going on. Coriana doesn’t know what might be wrong with the beautiful young woman, the silks hanging off her body awkwardly, her original dress in a discarded pile in the corner.

“Thank you for coming…” she said, her words slurred. “Curdy…”

Mindra follows in after Coriana and immediately sets to work.

OOC: Mindra has three tasks in mind. First, she wants to check to see if Irene's original dress is still intact and will pick it up for Irene if it is. Second, she will check to see if there is some way to stopper the jug. Finally she will check out the chest. She thinks it is pretty unlikely that it would be trapped, but she will take a quick check, just in case. Assuming it is not trapped, she will pick it up and carry it out of the room.

Perception check on the chest: 1D20+8 = [17]+8 = 25
Medicine check: 1D20+4 = [9]+4 = 13
 

Theremin goes to the young lady, kneels and says: "We are honored to be able to help, young lady Irene, and please let me know how I can be of service to you. I am Theremin of house Keltarin from Helveki. It offends me to see someone of your standing be treated in such a way!"

Regarding the pseudodragon familiar, I was asking because after reading the entry in the DMG, I was wondering whether it was just a matter of a spellcaster befriending one and being nice to it. Finding the right spell to bind Sayine to Theremin would likely be a quest in itself, and the bard doesn't have the drive to do it.

I have a unrelated question that I have been wondering about for a while, what is "Ch" on the map at AE19?

Also, I must have missed it, but I see in loot that Theremin has an eversmoking bottle. He'll gladly take itm but I am not sure where he found it.

Finally, I was thinking a bit out of the box. If Theremin were to marry lady Irene, their noble houses would be allied, and it could make for an interesting twist to whatever legitimacy the goblins were trying to get in their as yet unknown plan. Also, I am sure her father would approve, since he more than likely wants to restore his noble status. Of course, this would be a hypothetical wedding of convenience, Theremin isn't the exclusive type ;-) FYI,
this is why Theremin isn't just flirting with her, he thinks [/sblock]

Mindra finds that Irene’s dress is intact, if a bit torn from the trip through the Cold Woods. But it will serve for modesty. When she examines the chest, she finds it is not trapped or locked.

When Minda picks up the jug, a familiar floral scent hits her nose, sweet, soothing, like night jasmine. It’s a familiar scent for a wood elf, the scent of dream lilies, a white flower that many elven communities plant around their homes or the perimeters of their small villages. It has no effect on elves, but it puts to sleep any other creature that disturbs the flower. What is in the jug is obviously essence of dreamlily, and Mindra and Theremin can tell Irene has obviously been drugged with the strong and addictive soporific that is often used for surgery and to relieve pain. It looks like there are about eight doses left in the jug. There is a lead stopper on the floor that she can use to close it.

Irene looks down on Theremin as he beseeches her. She giggles a little and touches his cheek. Her hands aren’t the soft, smooth hands of a noble, but rough from the work of a peasant life. “You’re funny. And handsome,” she said with a shy whisper. “I’m no lady. I just want to go home...to Curdy…” She trails off a bit, her mind wandering, but she suddenly focuses again when she sees Mindra with the jug.

“Tha’s mine,” she said, weakly trying to wrestle the jug from the half-elf’s grasp.

OOC: Sayine is a faerie dragon, though, not a pseudodragon. But yes, what you said works for the pseudodragon, and could maybe work for Sayine.

The “Ch” on the map was the chest where you found the documents related to Irene’s true heritage, some gold, and a health potion.

Now that I think about it, I think it was Liam who found the eversmoking bottle in the library. I’ve fixed that. You guys can decide how loot gets distributed. I’m just tracking who currently has it.

And interesting idea for Lady Irene. You are certainly welcome to try :) There might be complications and such, of course! LOL Like she’s kind of sweet on someone. But we could RP it out.

"Let's get outta here," muttered Coriana. "Someone else deal with sleeping beauty, I'll collect the contents of the chest in my pack. Liam, did you grab those documents and stuff from the other chest?" Coriana empties the chest, then starts moving to the exit. If Liam answers no, she'll make her way back to the other chest.
 

Mindra is content to leave the chest to Coriana. She will carry the dress to Irene and hold on to the jug for now, after she has made sure the lead stopper is in tightly of course. "I would not deprive you of what is yours," Mindra assures Irene, "but perhaps it is best if I hold on to this for now. Essence of dreamlily can have a strong effect on those that are not of Elven decent.

"Now it would be best if we made our way out of here as quickly as possible. Theremin, Liam, would you kindly leave the room while we prepare the lady for travel?" She looks at the two men while holding up Irene's dress meaningfully.
 

To Coriana, Liam patted his pouch, indicating he did indeed grab what was in that previous chest.

To Mindra, he smirked. But, seeing as he wasn’t actually blind and his companions surely knew that by now, he nodded his head and walked out of the room.

“Mmmm...yes,” Irene said to Mindra, staring blearily at her dress. She started struggling with the silk, forgetful of modesty as she pulled at the makeshift wedding dress, leaving her in chemise and smallclothes before she fumbled with her dress. The necklace she wore came off in her hand and she absently handed it to Mindra.

OOC: Essence of Dreamlily - potent drug used to relieve pain or induce unconsciousness for surgery. Addictive.
Save: Con save DC 10+1 per dose. On failure you feel perfectly at peace. You can operate normally at up to -10 hp. You are immune to fear. Lasts 2 hours per dose. When it ends, you take 1 level of exhaustion per dose.
Addiction: Second Con save DC 10+1 per dose. On a failed save you have become addicted. On your turn, make a Wisdom save to take 1 action or move. If you fail, you lose your turn as you slip into lethargy. You cannot take reactions.
Withdrawal: If you are addicted and have not had a dose in 24 hours, you have disadvantage on Wisdom saves.
Cure: Lesser Restoration or one week without the drug and a DC 15 Con or Medicine check.

Casually putting the necklace in her pouch Mindra thinks to herself, "In her condition she is liable to lose it anyway." She then helps Irene into her dress and puts the jug of Dreamlily in her pack.

Moving just into the hallway Mindra peers into the darkness. If all is clear she will call on her companions. "Time to move I think. Let's get out of here."

OOC: Mindra is ready to leave the Goblin Lair. If anyone else has something they want to check she will be happy to assist, but otherwise she will head strait for the exit.
