Heroes of the Elemental Chaos - review

I've put my impressions of Heroes of the Elemental Chaos on my blog.

In a nutshell, I feel that it's just okay.
- I like the info on primordials and the whole first chapter for people who want to run elemental- or primordial-themed adventures.
- I was a little bummed to see no actual racial crunch.
- I like the Elementalist, and I appreciate that WotC is supporting both pre- and post-Essentials builds like the Druid and the Warlock.
- The Sha'ir is all right.
- The paragon paths are a mixed bag.
- The Lord of Chaos epic destiny is a missed opportunity (which I've provided my own take on).

Thanks for the review. Looks like the only interesting chapter for me is chapter 1. How many pages is this chapter long? Would you recommend to buy this book only for this chapter, or isn't it worth the money?

would XP you, but must spread xp first... (can someone cover for me?)

Chapter 1 is 35 pages if I remember correctly. And if you plan to run a campaign with a lot of elemental-themed PCs or that heavily involved primordials, then it's probably worthwhile.
