Heroes Season 1(#13)---1/29/07-'THE FIX'

If Nathan is Clair's father, then Peter is going to be a bit upset.

Someone answer this, if they can...what does HRG and his group do to the people to get their powers to manifest? Some, like Micah and Hiro, have powers without ever having been captured, others were captured first and only then got powers.

And how did Dr. Sharesh (sp?) get DNA from everyone on the list to find the genetic markers?

And did we just find out that there are only 36 possible heroes?

I think that they vaguely referred to the Human Genome Project, and implied that the people on the list could be tied back to that. Perhaps they donated DNA for it or something.

Suresh, not Sharesh ;)

I'm doing it by e-mail. I got a mail that led me to a secret area on the Primatech Paper site, but haven't been able to open any of the files yet. Did you get something I didn't or did you just figure out how to open the files?

EDIT: Never mind, I just got it. It was in my e-mail after all.

btw - my brother filled out an application and got a rejection letter. I wonder why they took me and not him (and no we don't use the same system or DSL line).
I'm not sure. I'm the only one who i know wh osigned up. Maybe your brother is not a hero.

Villian perhaps? :\

Oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention, and I'm surprised that no one else has: Hiro's "Gulp!" at the end. That was just SO in character!

I was thinking about this today (too much free time). I don't think HRG does anything to them to make them manifest, possibly Hana aside.

I personally think, at this point, that what they do is amplify (or maybe advance is a better word) a person's abilities several-fold, which has the unfortunate side-effect of giving them a level of abilities that they can't control. Matt's ability gets a lot better after seeing HRG, but he also has problems controlling it. Ted may have also been the same, unable to control it and killing his wife, as well as the scene with Matt/Audrey. We don't quite see it in the comic, but Hana may also have had that problem.

Either way, we're only just now seeing Ted and Matt start to be able to control their powers at that enhanced level. They probably would have gotten there eventually, and had that degree of control necessary for that level of power. HRG just gave them a shortcut.

I think that may have been the reason for the accident in the past as well - too much power, without the years of control.

If I"m just analyzing the secret website, it looks like they just keep really detailed information of them which includes medical history and backgrounds.

Yeah, I read the most recent comic and they suggest it's just used for tracking. I kinda wish I had read it before I posted. :o

What's with the comic books? Grr . . .

- Seonaid, who does not do anything with the show but watch it (and read these threads!)
