I don't think it was Kensei at all. I think it was all Hiro. He demonstrated in season 1 that he can move specific objects through time, not just himself. I think he moved Kensei's body back in time and thus "healed" him.

Am I mistaken or did that one news headline say that Kaito Nakamura was 70?!?! If that was so.. then damn.. he has good genes.

Peter is learming more about his powers now than he ever did when he was a wimp and knew who he was!

Good Episode over all. But, was it just me or are the heroes acting like they are meeting each other for the first time. Maybe I am mixing things up from season one since it has been a while. Matt's and Nathan meeting at the station were acting like they barely knew each other. I also thought that Claire cutting her toe off was a waste. She healed after surviving in the epicenter of a small nuke.
I agree that any of the heroes from last season not recognizing each other is weird, since they all met in the last ep. Heck, even if Nathan doesn't remember a particular face since he was focused on Claire and Peter, everyone else at least should remember the guy who flew up with his brother in the sky to save New York.
Was also wondering what was going on with Kensei at the end. The two possibilities I've come up with have already been mentioned - either Hiro time-shifted Kensei's body back in time, like Dragonblade mentioned, or Kensei himself is manifesting regenerative powers similar to Claire's.
I didn't think it stupid of Claire to cut off her toe. Yeah, she knows she can come back from death, from being cut open for autopsy, from being burned by radiation - but she didn't know whether or not a part of her body that was wholly missing would grow back.
EDIT for Richards; As I recall, her fingers were maimed after that incident, but not outright cut off.

I seem to recall it depended on which version of the pilot is being looked at. In the original pilot Claire lost a finger and scolded Mr. Muggles for trying to eat it. In the aired pilot her hand was just mangled and she scolded Mr, Muggles for licking the blood puddle from where it was dripping.
