Heroes Season [Volume] 2 (#25)---10/01/07-'Lizards'

Maybe the Haitian / Company at work. Maybe the secret Illuninati group (Peter, Nathan and Hiro's folks) have a mindbender also.

The possibilities are endless. Thus why it is so much fun.

What makes it fun is this plus the fact that in a few episodes they will answer the open questions and then give us new ones, as opposed to just heaping up the unanswered ones.

As to Nathan not recognizing Matt, that seems pretty obvious, Nathan had a whole 'nother focus, a brother about to explode.

As to Matt not recognizing Nathan, remember that Nathan showed up at the last minute, was facing away from Matt -- who'd just taken 3 bullets to the chest, and probably wasn't focused on much of anything -- and Nathan now has a full beard. It would stun me if he did recognize him.

I may have to do some kind of spreadsheet indicating who knows who and for how long or at least find one on the internets.

Didn't Matt and Nathan say in this episode that they had met briefly before when Nathan was in Texas getting Peter out of jail? I thought I heard that right before Ma Patrelli started getting attacked. Because other than that, I doubt if they would remember any other meeting. As others have said, Matt was down with several bullets in him and Nathan looked pretty different and only came in at the end for a few short seconds.

Hmmm...Maybe time to go back and watch that last episode again to refresh my memory since NBC still has that one up and playable as well as 2.01 and 2.02.

Matt did indeed say that to Nathan

Not only that, but Matt says sorry about Peter, acknowledging that Peter died.

I think the lizard thing is going to play a bigger part as the story goes on. Perhaps the regeneration power keeps you alive forever, thus meaning that Kensai might still be around and might be apart of the original heroes. It's also possible that ht could be two of the original heroes killing people off. I don't believe I've heard anyone say anything that couldn't be misconstrued as plural or singler.

I think the assassin is...
spoiler
Candice The illusionist. She lost everything Linderman was offering her with his death. Her illusions could "trick" Sulu off the roof and who knows what Mama Petreli was seeing durring her attack.

I think a lot of the scenes where Matt seems to not recognize other Heroes is because he's trying to keep his abilities secret. He doesn't want to have to answer a lot of uncomfortable questions regarding how he knows both the witness (Ando), and the son of the prime suspect (Angella) in the murder investigation he is investigating.

So of course they show the next attempted killing while he is in the presence of Matt so that there can be no question that it's somebody else now.
I don't think so. I still don't think that's actually Nathan, or if it is, I don't think Nathan's alone in there.
Both times there was an attempted murder, he tried to distance himself from his mother, first by calling her an evil bitch and telling her to get out, and then at the station by saying "she doesn't want to see me" and refusing to go in to her. Nathan's still trying to protect her, but he's not entirely in control, and there's someone/something else pulling strings. Something, apparently, that can either turn itself invisible, or hack at someone remotely...

I thought the episode overall was pretty good, but it seems to be a little slower this season than last. We'll see.

I agree that any of the heroes from last season not recognizing each other is weird, since they all met in the last ep. Heck, even if Nathan doesn't remember a particular face since he was focused on Claire and Peter, everyone else at least should remember the guy who flew up with his brother in the sky to save New York.

Was also wondering what was going on with Kensei at the end. The two possibilities I've come up with have already been mentioned - either Hiro time-shifted Kensei's body back in time, like Dragonblade mentioned, or Kensei himself is manifesting regenerative powers similar to Claire's.

I didn't think it stupid of Claire to cut off her toe. Yeah, she knows she can come back from death, from being cut open for autopsy, from being burned by radiation - but she didn't know whether or not a part of her body that was wholly missing would grow back.

EDIT for Richards; As I recall, her fingers were maimed after that incident, but not outright cut off.

Actually... if you think about it, Matt could have been acting. After all, if you were a police chief and your new star detective happens to know everyone involved in a murder case wouldn't you think something is up?

Then again, if you think about it shouldn't he have been a suspect in the murder of Linderman and several of Linderman's associates (not mentioning a missing person who had massive amount of lethal wounds)? After all, how often does a ex-lapd offcier who worked for the fbi show up at a crimescene which includes several murders, a missing body, a massive amount of property damage and ends up getting shot multiple times by his own gun?

I have a feeling that the Police chief must know something about Matt since he has witnessed Matt use his "esp" (mind reading) powers as well as most likely had read Matt's file from the LAPD and the FBI.

I'd forgotten that there were two different pilots. As far as I'm concerned, Claire had a finger cut off by the garbage disposal, so the whole 'cut off a toe' thing was silly.

Am I the only one who notices this stuff:

Hiro: "How could this happen?" After Kensai gets shot by several arrows. That's what I want to know! Since landing back in time he's showed mastery of his powers. But this time he justs stands there like a doofus and does nothing, even after the first arrow hits Kensai. He had tons of time to do something (pun not intended), but didn't.

Just exactly how did the three Irish thieves plan on transporting an entire shipping container full of ipods? They didn't even have a wheelbarrow! (Extra-dimensional pockets, maybe?)

Let's see, I find a half naked guy chained to the inside of a shipping container. So naturally, he must have been the one who stole its contents!?!?!? WTF?

They really need to pay a bit more attention to this sort of thing.

No, I definitely noticed it as well. I've decided the Irish guy was not thinking clearly. It sounds like this McWhoosits guy they were doing the job for is a nasty piece of work. He probably decided that since McWhoosits would come and take it out on him, he'd take it out on Petey.

Also, his accent is really bad.

Not even having a couple of dalis... that I can't explain. As for Hiro, he was obviously surprised by the whole thing, so didn't take the time to concentrate. Not to mention he hasn't seemed to develop such precise control that he could rewind time a few minutes to prevent the arrows from being fired.
