The origional duelist was printed in Dragon the 3.5 revised duelist is in the new DMG and both are duel weapon weilders using primarilly the Rapier and some form of Dagger. Since you are credited with the origional one in Dragon I figured I would ask you if we will be seeing a single weapon wielding Duelist with different Prerec feats and perhaps different abilities while still maintaining the overall swashbuckler flavor. while using 2 weapons has definate advantages it is my understanding that in most cases this is when the seconds would get involved because a duel was faught with one weapon and said weapon was the offended party's right to choose. usually swords or pistols. Does that clairify my origional question?

The Unfettered is a variant core class in Monte's Arcana Unearthed variant player's handbook. In a nutshell, the class is a single-classed fighter/rogue. It gets

Fighter BAB
One good save (Reflex)
Level-based AC bonuses
Evasion
Sneak Attack +1d6 per four levels
Parry (sort of like the Dodge feat)
Parry Ranged Attacks
Parry Magic

Much more cool than the Duelist.
