Hey Morrus, when do we get The Elements of Magic?

Assuming sales justify a print copy, yes. It's selling well now so, so far, it's looking good for a print copy.

Cool. It sounds like a great book, I just don't have the option of buying PDFs.

Well, whether we get a print run depends on who we impress, and by how much. Right now Nat20 is not considering doing its own print products; we simply rely on the assistance of other publishers.

Yeah, I understand this. But from what I've heard about EoM, it sounds like the chances of impressing someone are quite good :)

magic items with EoM

With this totally new magic system for casting spells, how does it work/meld with the current system for creating magic items that require specific spells to meet the requirements?

I guess I am asking because in the npc stats you provide them with magic items, like a potion of cure light wounds, but cure light wounds itself doesn't exist within the confines of your new magic system (talking specifically, I know cure light can be simulated with the correct spell list). If that spell itself doesn't exist and all I want to use is the new magic system, what advice could you give us for making magic items with the new magic system?

cyberzombie: thanks - I assumed that the nonOGL-ness of those feats were why no conversions were given or alluded to. Im sure the user community will come up with something in short order.

Cheers
:D

Two Questions

Cyberzombie,

First off, this is one heck of a product! I can not thank you enough. I haven't been this excited since 3E came out:).

I have two questions so far that I hope you can answer. What am I missing here.....

One, why is the Spell Immunity function of Abjure Magic one level higher than the level it is cast at (eg. a fifth level spell can give immunity to 6th level spells)? Additionally, why are multiple spell lists abjured (eg. a fifth level spell can protect you from 3 whole lists)? This seems very imbalanced.

Second, the Abjure [Element] table show's a damage protection of "Elemental Resistance 24" for a 5th level casting, but the text says "abjure fire provides fire absorption 12 and fire resistance 12." Which is it?

Regards,
Mean DM

I downloaded this on sunday. On a quick first read I really like it, it works really well with some similar half concieved ideas I had been vaguely working on. Over all I'm really pleased.

Well worth the (low)price.

The only quibble I have with it is the art, which I felt was sub-par. But then, I'm a bit of a snob about these sorts of things.

Thanks for a great product.

Summon Tables

Cyberzombie,

Why are the summon tables for Summon [Element] and Summon [Outsider] different?

Also, why does the one for Summon Outsider corrospond to the table for Bind [Outsider] in regards to hit die?

Isn't that kind of unbalanced?

Hola!

Between Real Life and the board not working, I haven't been able to respond to any of the questions here. I'm saving everything to my hard drive, and I'm going to make up an FAQ and errata list, covering everything asked here, on other threads, and that was emailed to me. I'll post that asap.
