Hey Nightfall - Spinning blow feat from Scarred Lands?

My understand is that you apply the roll to BOTH ends at -2 WITHOUT rolling twice. Thus instead of +15/+15 for a two handed weapon, you just roll the one and BOTH count if you hit or if you miss.

That is the purpose of the feat. Is it a good idea? Maybe not but at higher levels, leaves less chance to miss even with only on attack roll.

Sorry I missed this one JRR. I've had a few other things on my platter.

Ah, so a fighter with 4 attacks at +16/+11/+6/+1 could instead attack at +14 (twice)/+9/+4/-1. That's not so bad, but attempting multiple spinning blows would suck. You'd end up at +8 (twice)/+3 (twice)/-2 (twice)/-7 (twice), for a total of 8 attacks. Compared to GTWF, which would require one more feat +14/+14, +9/+9, +4/+4, -1, it's totally useless, (though spinning blow could be attempted at lower levels).

I'm still thinking it's designed for one use, not multiples, and with liberal application of true strike for fighter/mages.

Slap me if I'm still missing something.

And thanks for chiming in, Nightfall.

Also, with all the new swift casting time spells like Wraithstrike and that flaming blade thing, this feat seems to allow you to double your value. Unless there is some wording that those spells only work on one end of a double weapon. Still, True Strike seems to be the biggest push for this feat.
