While I praise the elimination of the racial penalty of their Charisma score, I must protest the replacement of their racial darkvision to low-light vision.
can you link to the source on these changes, I've missed the Great Dwarf Reveal of 2007... ;)

I loved infravision myself, though I understand it was too mechanically wonky for play. However, darkvision has always rubbed me the wrong way. The whole 60 feet thing means that the creatures would always be walking around in a fog. How would drow look out over their cities? Besides faerie fire, they wouldn't even be able to see the next building over, much less the city they live in. Seems stupid to me.

To be fair, drow had 120 foot darkvision...Not that it really makes a difference.

Ktulu :)

Personally I always thought darkvision was stupid the way they did it. Why would dwarves have large halls with carved stonework going up high if they can only see 60 feet away?

That might be the reason for them to have torches on the waalls of their large halls.

In my opinion, anything with darkvision should have light sensitivity.

If you can see in the dark because you were raised underground, then sunlight should bother you.
Doesn't their darkvision comes with limited range (60 feet)? I mean if they can see the dark as far as humans can see the horizon in broad daylight, then I can understand the light sensitivity flaw as a trade-off.

No more arguments from the 1 or 2 party members with darkvision about the whole party walking around in the dark so their ability isn't pointless? Yay!
