Hi... again

First Post
Hi everyone who's reading this. I made this account something like 6 months ago, I think. I wasnt very active, I think I had 15 posts... maybe... well I guess it'll say after I post this...

But anyway... I started college this year and was determined to remain undistracted for at least one semester and as a result really dropped out of the rpg loop and actually forgot about enworld and my other former RPG related haunts. Well now I'm headed back and I have been thoroughly dissilusioned about what college is and isnt and am ready to get back on the wagon (or is it off the wagon?) So I have a few questions for anyone who cares to answer.

1- Ebberon. I remember that a big thread about Eberron had just died down when I stopped checking these boards. I was partial to the little that was released and am now wondering if anything else has been released? I saw a thread about Eberron lower on the page but I couldn't tell what exactly it was in response too.
EDIT: I know Ebberron isnt out yet. Just to clarify I was wondering if anything more had been released besides that it would have some few and far between dinos and lightning trains?

2- I remember that every once in a while, on this board and others, someone would always pop in to ask if a setting or system was/will be adapted for Geaorge R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire books. Now it's my turn. Is there, or will there be, a song of ice and fire setting or system that anyone has heard about?

3- When i left the rpg scene 3.5 had been out and those who were gonna convert did and those who werent didn't. I didn't, and felt i was in good company since a fair number of other people felt a little bit scammed and werent gonna switch. Has everyone switched by now? Are there still holdouts? If so, how hard is it to use new material? Is all the 3rd party material made for 3.5 now?

4- Misc. Products/Settings- Amongst the other great things about DnD going d20 was the constant flow of new materials and products, whether they were canon or 3rd party, they were always new and available, and most of them ranged everywhere from decent to great. Last thing I remember about products were people anxious for "Complete Warrior" (I think that was it) but I wasnt around to hear about it. So if you could only reccommend 3 or 4 of the best products that have come out since around then, what would they be?

Heres a preemptive thanks to everyone who answers some of these questions. Thanks.

Welcome back!

1. Eberron isn't out yet.

2. Don't know, but someone else will.

3. I'm a 3.0 holdout. None of my players would buy the new book even if I converted, so I see no reason to bother. When I start a new campaign, I will probably incorporate a few changes from 3.5.

4. This depends largely on personal taste. However, the closest I've ever seen a large group of gamers come to agreeing on anything is the nearly unanimous opinion that Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe is excellent. Other cool products from the recent past that I would recommend would be Testament, Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary, Player's Guide to the Wilderlands and Black Sails over Freeport. You'll note that none of these are by WotC. I think the most innovative products are coming from third party publishers these days.

1. Eberron should be alright. Not 100% sure but I like Keith Baker's work.

2) I'm sure there is...but I forget who is doing it. I don't believe it is d20. There is an article by Dragon about using d20/D&D versions of ASOIF. Dragon 307 or Dragon 308.

3) There are hold outs. Some of us use pieces of 3.5 but keep to stuff we liked in 3.0, like wizard specialization and some feats like 3.0 spell focus and greater spell focus.

4) Best stuff, Edge of Infinity, Player's Guides by S&SS, Book of Fiends by Green Ronin, and now coming soon, Tome of Horrors II! :)

Oh yeah people like Dawnforge too.

Guardians of Order (makers of BESM, Silver Age Sentinels, the Tri-Stat system etc) will be releasing A Game Of Thrones RPG in both D20 & Tri-Stat formats.

As far as books that have been BIG, I have heard lots about Magical Medevil Europe (or whatever the full name is, I can never get it right), Complete Warrior is fairly popular, everybody either loved or hate Arcana Unearthed, and Skull and Bones is great. Good to see you back, and I know from experience that you can game and maitain a good college record. With one semester full of gaming and fairly good grades behind me, I would say that having fun does not mean you can't succeed academically.

According to the latest EN world user poll over half have made the full switch and more have partially moved over. http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=74464

It isn't hard to use new material, or to convert old material (IMO anyway). I haven't exactly examined everything on the market but I imagine you'll find just about everything being published is now either 3.5 compatible, or something that doesn't have compatibility issues to begin with. I certainly haven't seen any publishers touting that, "We don't use that cheep 3.5 crap! 3.0 only for us Luddites!" :)
