Hi all!

Ookay...Here we go...

Levi: Got a monster manual? If so look at the entry for just about any humanoid. To get the modifiers for a humanoids (or any creature for that matter) stats, substract 10 from the score if it is even, or 11 if it's uneven. For simplicity, I'm going to use a humanoid from the MM, the Gnoll.

The gnoll have the following stats:

Str 15, Dex 10, Con 13, Int 8, Wis 11, Cha 8

Or in stat modifiers: Str +4, Con +2, Int -2, wis -2.

There are no uneven stat modifiers in 3E.

So I will now try and address the Modifiers for the Bystrai (Note that I'm guessing on the stats):

Green: Str 13 (+2), Dex 14 (+4), Con 12 (+2), Int 10 (+0), Wis 9 (-2), Cha 9 (-2)

Red: Str 12 (+2), Dex 13 (+2), Con 13 (+2), Int 10 (+0), Wis 9 (-2), Cha 9 (-2)

Blue: Str 11 (+0), Dex 14 (+4), Con 12 (+2), Int 13 (+2), Wis 9 (-2), Cha 9 (-2)

Now I hope this is a correct assumption. I now need the following:

HD? How many HD do they have only one (class), 2, 3, 4? (I would say at least 2 base HD, much as lizard folk= 2d8)
Natural Armor? (I would guess yes, due to their size and scaly hides, probably +3 to +6)
Base Speed? (Most likely 30')

Face/Reach would by: 5' by 5'/10' due to their size.

Please elaborate.

Pretty good

I think you did a good job with it. Since they are big they should have a good distance. Yes they should have natural armor due to having tough scaly hides.

Sadly I have no Monster Mnauel yet, but next week I get my check and I am gonig to get it.

Edit: I think though I will add two points to the strength.. Because I feel my pride and joy of this race should atleast equal a Gnoll. Plus there is no unequal stuff.

A new update.

A friend online did this with random dice roling and doing her verison for this. Whackey results man.

Stre:20:
Con: 12
Dex:16
Cha:3
Wis:8
Intell:10

Final Edit: That was Green btw.

modifiers?

Krishnath,

Your stat modifiers are incorrect. A 10 has a modifier of 0, as does an 11. Then 12-13 is +1, 14-15 is +2, etc, like so:

1 - 4
2 - 4
3 - 3
4 - 3
5 - 3
6 - 2
7 - 2
8 - 1
9 - 1
10 +/- 0
11 +/- 0
12 + 1
13 + 1
14 + 2
15 + 2
16 + 3
17 + 3
18 + 4
19 + 4
20 + 5
21 + 5
22 + 6

etc.

Those arent the ability score modifiers, Shmoo...what Krishnath has up there are the modifiers for race, like the Elf's +2 to Dex and -2 to Con, etc...

Talislanta had several very worthy lizard folk. And the Expanded Psionics Handbook has a midget bug people. On my world, Thri-kreen wipe those guys out as soon as someone tries to play one, to maintain their status as the dominant bug people.
