High Charisma=Obsessed with sex?

My last character was a sorceror with 18 cha, i didnt play him as being obsessed with sex. I played him as being quiet, and very calm. He was also very polite, and would always apologize for anything stupid that our group did.

Well i have to go somewhere, i wonder where this post will be in a couple of hours.

I suppose you haven't heard enough holy sword jokes... :D

Hm... I hear (and tell) more jokes about Paladins and what they do to their mounts when noone looks.

And Oghma himself made such a joke once (at the same event where Kelemvor ascendet).

Also, in a forum RPG, I play a paladin of Sune (with more Dex than Str, and more Int than both Con and Wis). He isn't exactly obsessed with sex, but is already starting to court the party ranger (though she's the usual taciturn, uncombed type, but she's the only female in the party, and he has to dally, or he would probably violate his code of conduct). But that campaign is running very slowly (still 1st level, with one post every couple of days only), so that hasn't let very far.

I would guess that for a lot of people, it's all about wish fulfillment.

Put frankly, gamers aren't known for their ability to get laid by attractive people.

Therefore, for some gamers/DMs, a high Charisma character is their way of gettin them a piece.

In addition to all of the above, there is also the rock (or movie) star archetype -- rakish, charismatic, parties hard, gets laid a lot. "Bard" is as close as your going to get to that in D&D.

And now, the iconic bard is a gnome. :p

Wow this has gotten a lot of posts in such a short time.

That's because it has the word "sex" in the title.

Anyway, IME literary characters with "good looks" are more interested in mirrors.

PS IME playing a bard is boring. You have to do something other than sing.

*Oh lord, pun not intended.*
