High Level Fighter Vs. High Level Barbarian

I'm a bit surprised... is it so uncommon in arenas to have see invis stuff for fighters or did 3.5 screw that???
Edit: Looks like there's no see invis item for fighter types in the DMG??? Ask me why I play multiclassed dudes.

And this level 12 barbarian power attacks with a -8 since he expects his opponents AC to be at 22? I hate brilliant energy weapons used with Power Attack (as well as strength bonus). Guess I'd use Iron Bands of Binding against him.

Under the second interpretation, my horse gets to act first.

My horse decides he has had enough of this.

He is a warhorse. When taken out of the stables and prepared for battle, he does one of two things. He fights, or when the battle is over, he goes back to the stables and gets the heavy armor taken off of him.

The horse decides that since the gnome is gone and is not fighting and the rider is injured (i.e. not fighting), its time to go home.

The horse turns around and runs back to the stables.

This will give two other contendors the option to fight in the arena.

This is the best roleplaying of a horse I have ever seen

Not that I've seen many horses roleplayed, of course ;).

And Mugly wins! Using only 2 charges of wands!

Clearly we can all see that Barbarians are the superior class! ;)

Ok, did anybody else want to play? (If we keep this up, they might move us to the PbP boards...)

Uhm, could I try against this barbarian with a bard/commoner? ;)
That sounds like fun... but then it is no longer related to the thread's topic. It might be fun to have an arena going in the PbP section. People could build their best character of any class for an arena fight. Then some 2 or 3 player teams could be set up also. I would find that fun... plus you wouldn't have to wade through several posts to read about the battle (like you do here).

It would also be attractive in that it could involve a lot of people because each battle would last less than a week (usually). Possibly even be over in a day. And you wouldn't have to commit to a long campaign and have to worry about leaving for vacations, etc.

-Just a thought.

If its an arena you're looking for, head on over to Rpol.net (link in the sig). There's 50 million (ok, more like 30) arenas over there. Of special interest is Exodus, the Epic arena, which starts at ECL 25. Its the most fun I've had online since I discovered porn. :D

If epic isn't your bag, DnD tactics has two brackets for team battles. (low level and high level)

If really epic is more your style, check out Immortal Battlegrounds, they are ECL 35.

There are several other arenas available as well. I've heard good things about most of them (especially Nyrond, a more PC vs. Monster setup), but don't have the time to play in them. :(
