I found this information on a highlander 5 website a little while ago and thought I'd share it with you, and seeing that some of this was officially presented in the catalog I would bet that it's mostly pretty accurate with what the movie will be.
All I can say is that the premise sounds really cool, but I will wait and see till we get some trailers for it.

This was taken from the new Highlander catalogue:
There's a legend that tells where the Immortal race began. It's called The Source. Lost -- or perhaps hidden -- for countless millenia its whereabouts is a mystery of such compelling magnitude that every Immortal is haunted by it. Which begs the question, what do you imagine an Immortal would risk to find it, to at last know the truth of who - or what - he really is?
Such is the titillating premise that fuels the new HIGHLANDER feature fim, so titled, 'HIGHLANDER: The Source.' Hot off the success of 'HIGHLANDER: End Game' we're again joining forces with Miramax Pictures only this time to follow four new charismatic Immortals as they quest to locate the Holy Grail of their world. They'll face unimaginable challenges, confront unspeakable personal demons, and endure breathtaking adventure until finally...
Well, we can't divulge anymore at this point except to" and etc. They're now marketing some old merchandise as if it were new and introducing some more stuff to promote The Source.
New Highlander 5 News!
Recently a contest was held on the official Highlander site. The winner got to talk to Highlander producer Wlliam Panzer about Highlander 5. Here is what the winner related to those on the message board:
"Adrian Paul won't be in it. Christopher Lambert might be (the Panzer will be talking to him tomorrow)."
"The guy who wrote "Endgame" will be writing "The Source". The latest movie won't be the typical formula where the good guy is confronted by some one from his past. It will be a quest. It so far looks GOOD. By the way, I'd like to say for the record that Bill Panzer is quite a nice guy..."
"He said that Lambert MAY be in the next movie. The two are meeting today to talk about it. He told me that one of the guys who wrote Endgame has written the first draft. Panzer said he's read the first 50 pages and they look GOOD. This movie won't be the typical Highlander movie were the good guy is confronted by a bad guy from their past, this is going to be about a quest."
Highlander: The Source is a go!
Producers William Panzer and Peter Davis recently released this to fans:
Greetings Highlander Fans
On the second anniversary of the release of Endgame we wanted to take a few moments to share with you, the ever-faithful fans, what is on the horizon in the Highlander universe.
First, we are excited to announce that the rumors are true. The story continues as the fifth motion picture is slated to begin filming early in 2003. We dont want to reveal too much but we think that The Source is destined to be a truly exceptional Highlander film.
All I can say is that the premise sounds really cool, but I will wait and see till we get some trailers for it.
