Hinterwelt : Shades of Earth

I just downloaded the Halloween coupon book for rpgnow and noticed Shades of Earth from Hinterwelt. It looks cool, although I have no use at all for the rules system that comes attached to it.

Any chance this would get converted to d20 modern for us fans of the system? The game looks neat as all heck and between the cover and excerpts it has given me loads of ideas, but I'm not gonna spring for a book with a rules system I don't care to play.

Please think about it. :P

Actually we have tried to do a d20 conversion three times. The first time the wirter just stopped replying to emails. The second time we got about 1/4 of the way through and the writer declared bankruptcy and dropped out of site. Third time, the wirter wrote a bunch of fiction then said he was not interested in doing the rules. I am beginning to think Shades has a non-d20 curse! :)

One of the reasons we want to do a d20 conversion is that, next to Roma Imperious, Shades is our best seller. It has done really well for us. I will continue to try to get this d20 version, at least in PDF if not in print also, out but I am not what I would call a d20 expert. I will run it past Peter Schaefer, our current d20 guy, and see what he says.

Also, Austrian Holiday, Just so you know, is done in OGL Modern and Iridium System. Also in the Halloween Coupon Book.

Well, thanks for the kind words. Hopefully the fourth time is the charm. :)
