Hints about Complete Arcane?

Oh, that seems interesting. This means I'll actually look at the thing.

It took me forever to pick up Tome & Blood, because I don't play arcane casters. I'm not very likely to pick up Complete Arcane, for the same reason. However, the Warlock sounds just interesting enough that I'll look at it.

Hopefully it won't be too bad.

Force,

It's possible...but I hated a LOT of those Prestige classes in Tome and Blood. Some however did get moved into the other complete series.

I've got to agree, most of the ToB PrC were pretty lame in my humble opion. I greatly preferred the ones form either Dragon of FR accessories.

I am fond of the acolyte of the skin, the alienist, the blood magus, the elemental savant, the fatespinner, the mage of the arcane order, and the mindbender. I'd hate to see them get dumped.

The Acolyte of the Skin, Alienist, Elemental Savant, and Mage of the Arcane Order have so much rping potential attached to them. The Pale Master is quite nice as well, I've used it for several villains. :D

Yes, they were described as being like sorcerers, but with more emphasis on supernatural ancestry. Kinda like my epigones. I remember someone mentionning they had a strong "spawn of the dark powers" flavor. Don't remember the exact quote, though, and my attempts at googling it have failed.

Well, I hope that they look at the feedback from both previous books in the line and work on making this more like C Warrior than C Divine in terms of making it an arcane book that anyone can use. In addition, the editing has got to be kicked up a notch and they really need to stop using that clip art of Wayne Reynolds. No more smoking boots please!

Since it's apparently open season for raiding the Miniatures Handbook, I hope the Bonded Summoner makes the leap as well. Although it seems like its only purpose was to emulate the EverQuest mage class in D&D, I think it's a nice prestige class that fills a niche.
