Eek! We don't have to do this if you don't want, Maldur. I really don't want anybody involved to feel shafted because of the combination of these articles.

But, on the other hand, seperate-but-linked articles is essentially what we're doing with combining, just that some of the items are getting moved to a different section to keep it organized.

But I'd really like your input on it, and any additions/comments abouit any sections would be cool :D

I dont feel shafted!

But I do think the items for bainbridge should go there.
It make s the shop complete. If you put a reference in misty harbor that bainbridge is located somewhere , that makes a link. on the same foot the rules for te music boxes are kinda big, so if we make that a lose article, we can link that with bainbridge by putting sample boxes, in the shop article.
It would mke the ideas seperate, so if someone would want to use one and not the other, they have a easier time seperating the parts.

If you seperate the tech from Misty harbor and someone would want a small town, they could just use the town. If they want tech they use the tech without reediting their version. We can also show that seperate parts can make a whole, in a sort of example way of combining the parts.

(hope its clear what I mean)

UNDfind: let me try a more coherent version of the last post :)

combining the articles into a mini-stting is ok with me BUT I dont think its the best thing to do.

seperate articles have several advantages:
- the article have their own tone and purpose.
- people can use the parts they like, without needing to weed through the rest to untwine them.
- It buffs the magazines article count :D

example: If you seperate the items and the store its not completely clear as to what the shop sells. You can pick and choose from the items list but it still needs work if you just want to use the store.
Same goes for the town, if you really like the town ( or need a small town for your campaign) but dont want to use the steam/tech part it will take a while to seperate the two.

It also may become unclear as to what belongs to what. The clockwork abacus/clockwork theater: are they part of the music boxes rules? or are they seperate?

The mini setting idea is fine but the level of detail of the shop and music boxes is a bit high to just combine them (and toning them down, would be a waste imho) but if we just present a way that the seperate articles can be combined into a minisetting, we would have the best of both worlds.

a) seperate pieces that can be used or not at the dm/players leisure and
B) a minicampaign setting over several article.

But the ES peoples have a say in this, it also depents on what they want for ES.

btw: I ;like the music box picture. It has a certain, hellraiser-like feel :D
