Something funny about that. Apparently in NC (at least way back when I turned 17...), you still have to be 18 to watch R-rated movies. I found this out when going to see Nightbreed. The only reason they were carding everyone was because all four movies in that particular theatre were R, so there was no chance you could pay for 'the Mighty Ducks' and go see 'Slumber Party Massacre V'.
Hmm, what dates my age more, the fact that I was seventeen when Nightbreed hit theatres, or that the cinema was only able to show four movies?

Today was effectivly my birthday anyway. I had my party today, and my parents gave me my presents today.
Lets see. In total:
An Mp3 playing CD player. I put all 400 megs of MP3s i have onto a single CD, and it will play ALL of them.
$60 in gift certs for my FLGS
$50 in gift certs for my FLBS (book store)
Arms and Equipment Guide (Just came out yesterday)
A year's subscription to Dragon (never got around to renewing it)
One small oak tree
$20 and A bunch of illegal fireworks from my scary pyro friend. This was the most interesting gift. He put them all ($20 included) in a sliced open tennis ball, which he then wrapped in about 1/2 an inch of duct tape. Nice guy, him. Had to find a knife to cut through all the tape. Then we set off all the fireworks in my driveway.
This guy actually spent most of last night either setting of fireworks all over town, or hiding under cars as cop cars, sirens on and lights flashing, patrolled after him. And he didnt get caught, either...
Ahh, the joys of living in Silicon Valley.
