My freshmen year at college, my claculus was all stuff I had just done so I was bored out of my mind. I skipped class for a month, went to the test and scored a 98%. I totally blew the curve. Mt proffesor accused me of cheated (can you blame him?) so I went to his office and verbally worked out all the theroms, diravitives, and postulates from memory for him to show him I more then understood what was going on.

Thats pretty impressive. I have a similer story.

I went to this summer school program in conneticutt, and my Psych teacher accused me of copying out of a book, because in my "Psychology Reflection Journal" I went on tangents that we didnt cover in class (IE: Bell curves and the "lunatic fringe" (the really tiny minority of total weirdness)), and he asked me what book i copied the graphs i made from. I said none, i read about them a while ago in some sci-fi book (Neil Stevenson's Cryptonomicon). He absolutly didnt believe me, and gave me this big speach about the honor code, and cheating, and such. So in my next journal entry i wrote a point by point essay detailing the psychological tricks he used in his talk with me. He never brought cheating up again.

I can understand it though from their point of view. From talking to proffessors it seems about 9 out of 10 times they supsect cheating, they are right.
