Do you actually wish to see an example of my artwork ... or is it sufficient to state that I never really got beyond the stage of drawing people's heads with a compass so they had that nice round shape.

Ooh, ooh, I wanna see!!! You could probably draw me pretty well then, my head is quite large, and quite round. :D

maldur...Has something happened in the Netherlands that would make you inaccessable from the US? I have gotten messages from all my mail servers that state I cannot access either address in the netherlands.

Here is my email...

Well, the larger of my ideas was recently crushed by EN Publishings latest release. I had thought of putting together some snippets that could be dropped into a modern campaign at need. I was thinking of doing a couple of locations, like a bar, a library, a park and a research facilty, and detail them with interesting bits of information, and plot seeds for standard, supernatural and science fiction Modern stories. I wanted to include detailed NPCs, with roleplaying notes and insertion methods, and where necessary new crunchy bits.

The second was for a fantasy campaign, and was the idea of making an article to help play mercernaries in a fantasy campaign. The idea would be to create as much as possible for a Merc company, with details like their origins, history, general reputation and fluff bits. Then we would detail the actual structure of the oranization, like its command structure, tactics, base of operations, support structures. Then we would fill out the article by including enemies of the company, important NPCs, and any new rules we may want to develop.

There was also that thought I had about a mini-campaign structured like a TV series, which Dragon did an issue about a year ago on. One could be done around the mercernaries idea I had above, or any number of different themes.

I've just had a marvellous idea. Tell me what you think ... let's have a worst art contest. Give a name of something to draw, then everyone has to submit a drawing which they did using Paintbrush.

I am at an unfair advantage. I am using one of these rollerball mice...I would automatically win. No precision at all.

I have no idea is something is blocking email to the netherlands from the us??? If some other american shows up well ask if they would send me a test mail.

morbidity: almost anything looks like bad art if it has to be done in paint :)

Ahhh but you see I wanted to find a medium which everyone had ready access to. We could do scanned pencil drawings instead, but many people don't have a scanner, so much more tricky.

Fear not Skade, I too have a dodgy mouse. But believe me it's unlikely to inhibit my artistic genius.

Dodgy is my favorite non-American English word. Its a great one, but we have not picked it up yet over here. I say it now and then, and they try and revoke my Texan citizenship.

Ahhh we should inforce the use of the word ‘dodgy’. Today ‘dodginess’ … tomorrow the world!

Maldur … after due consideration, I’m convinced that Paintbrush is the artistic medium of choice for the massively untalented few.

What do you think of ‘alien abduction’ as a good drawing topic? It’s a good one I think b/c in any picture where you can tell which are the aliens and which are are the abductees is clearly done by an artist with way too much talent. Hmmmm shall we do this in the Hive or separate thread? So many questions … so much work which I should be doing rather than posting here.

What is the texan equivalent?
