Woohoo he’s bought the rock. Granite, sandstone … nice piece of basalt? Or did you go for something boring like a diamond?

I think these things are so funny … isn’t there a rule that it’s meant to be a month’s salary after tax or something similar? Or is that two weeks? Can never remember.

I’m fairly certain that Atticus knows that I think one of the least attractive reasons for getting engaged is the fact that I would then have to wear a rock of some description. I have weird skin (demonstrable proof that I’m an alien life form) which means that if metal of any description is in close contact (as per rings or watches) with my skin for more than a few hours, my skin turns a lovely shade of black.
