[Hivemind] Lamingtons, pavlova, and yum stuff from around the world!

Like I need more insanity in my life. :)

I may pick them up. Though I have been reading more lately I have quite a bit on my desk as it is. I still have the remaining two Jacqueline Carey books in her Kushiel trilogy, I have to finish American Gods (Neil Gaiman, yay :)), two more Harry Potter books, and Dreamcatcher.

I guess they are pretty quick reads?

Very quick, very easy, and a refreshing change of pace.

Has he ever written more serious material?

Maldur, (if you are still here) did you ever have a chance to look over what I sent you?

EK try your local library. Most libraries include the full range of the Pratchett novels.

You know, I am finally in a city where I can actually use the library. I was blacklisted from the Houston library system, and all the universities too. Even after I paid the admittedly tremendous fine, I was not allowed to check books out. Most unfair, I think. :(

Been there done that. The local library only has a handful. Mort is the next book I need to read; I can't find it. I might have to order it from Melbourne or Sydney.

How annoying! An excellent local library is a place of joy and wonder.

Tell me about it. When I was living in Melbourne, the library was wonderful. I used to spens hours there each week.

Here, I barely go near the place. :(
