[Hivemind] My blood runs cold...

Write on the cross at the head of my grave,
'To women and whiskey here lies a poor slave.'
Take warning dear stranger, take warning dear friend.
They'll write in big letters these words at my end.

Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.
Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.

i have to say i am surprised you are doing phfob2, it seems a big risk, the first was soooo succesful. if you nail it you will have an enduring draw for years :)

here is hoping it is more empire strikes back than batman returns :)

Goodness, me too.

Regardless, it is good advertising for us (thousands of people download our free products), and we have a trick up our collective sleeve to make it so it won't flop TOO badly, regardless.

Occult Lore, good stuff in there.

Originally, I really liked this book (when I got it at Origins last year)...

But after a couple of read-throughs, I realised that there was about 5% of the total content that could ever be applied to any game I was to run...

And that just about knocked it out cold.

Woops, got some of the lyrics wrong previously :o. Here's the correct song:

"Cigarettes and Whiskey"

(spoken:)
A preachment, dear friends, you're about to receive,
on John Barleycorn, nicotine, and the temptations of Eve...

(sung:)
I once was happy and I had a good life
I had enough money to last me for life
I met with a gal and we went on a spree
She taught me to smoke and to drink whiskey.

Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.
Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.

Cigarettes is a blot on the whole human race.
A man is a monkey with one in his face.
That's my definition, believe me dear brother,
A fire on one end and a fool on the t'other.

Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.
Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.

Write on the cross at the head of my grave
To women and whiskey here lies a poor slave
Take warning dear stranger, take warning dear friend.
They'll write in big letters these words at my end.

Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.
Cigarettes and whiskey and wild wild women
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.
They'll drive you crazy they'll drive you insane.
Hallelujah brother.

Really? If I were running a game I would use a lot of that book as I think it makes for very interesting and unique NPCs with their different brands of magic. Then hopefully if that worked well a player might be interested in one fo the types of magic for a future character.
