[hivemind] My kingdom for a Pie!

Heathen. I know they show it in the Netherlands. I've seen it with dutch subtitles. Think of the Buffyverse like the Hive, or the Borg. Resistance is futile.

Don't make me start singing. :D

Yes, yes he is. Pretty good screenwriter too, with Titan AE and Toy Story 2 off hand. I liked Titan AE, even if it did bomb.

I didn't have a cable connection for a long time.
So I dont really watch any tv!

I thought the original movie hilarious, but I never really liked the buffy episodes I did see. Sorry mate, but however disguised its still a soap :D

You're right. I've long since given up on fighting that aspect of the counterculture greats. Buffy is a soap. Angel is a soap. Hell, X-Men comics are soaps. But they still rock :D

As a man reared on Falcon Crest and Dallas, and who still occassionally watches the CBS soaps, I have no comment whatsoever. :D

Its no more a soap than say, Babylon 5. Seriously, Bab5 had all the markings of a nighttime soap. It had a stable of interesting characters, whose drama was internal and external. there were romantic, and adversarial relationships. Real world issues such as alcholism, drugs, and racism were not simply external problems, but localized in the core characters. Simply replace the big business aspect of a soap, and put a military/diplomatic station, and you have Hotel.

I could probably be shot for saying that.
