I did not even know there was a Conan cartoon. That would have been cool to see. Is it still running?

Nope. Happened in the 90's. Around 60 something episodes. And it was really cool.

Any kind of animation? If so, The Simpsons and Futurama. I also like the animated shows on Adult swim sunday nights, which includes Futurama now.

I don't get to watch South Park anymore. I do have one anime movie that I enjoy though, Princess Minerva. Subtitled, but still enjoyable.

I do like the Simpsons and Futurama well enough, but I always feel guilty after watching South Park. Gotta say though, those two stick to their guns, and can really do social commentary in their twisted way.

My favorite animated movei is still Disney's Beauty and the Beast. It has a special place in my past. With anime, you are right Alzrius, there are tons of great ones out there.

My main problem with anime is that since it is primarilly a buying market, rather than rental or broadcast, you have to do a lot of research before you buy, what is really an overpriced disc in many cases. I have seen some really horrid anime, with 3 half hour epiosed on a disc for 35 dollars. *sigh*

Now, I look online and get revies before I buy a disc.

I have just, *ahem*, started downloading Record of the Lodoss War. I've only seen the first episode, and thought it was Ok.

I agree, and i didn't mean to sound like I was bashing subtitles. I just don't like them because they cause me to focus on the bottom of the screen, making me miss out on the action. Minor problem.

We have such substandard Animation here. Simpsons, Futurama, Batman & Superman adventures being exceptions.

Oh. Iron Giant too. Probably best animated non Anime that I know of.

Generally yes, but that is really changing. Before there were issues with translation and voice acting, and that certain concepts were entorely Japanese. Cowboy Bebop for one has some fantastic voice acting, and I've seen the episodes both ways, and can honestly say I like the dubbed version better. This is still the exception, not the rule, but I think it's changing.

Even the Lupin the 3rd anime on Adult Swim right now has some good voice acting going.
