What, is a fricative?

It's a hissing sound that you make by constricting (but not completely obstructing) the airflow through your mouth.

English fricatives: s, z, f, v, th (as in both "thing" and "the), sh, and the sound in the middle of "measure" and "leisure".

Well, I'd probably make sure I had a good head start before I actually set up the site. As for how long it takes me, that depends. Usually a nice full-page layout on 11 x 16 takes about 45 minutes to an hour and a half. A web comic would be a lot easier though, as I could draw seperately and worry about the layout and frames when I scan the pics in.

Probably update every other day...that sounds about right.

And I'm studying speech sounds at the moment, so reading and writing about fricatives (and the rest) is part of my job tonight!

It would have been, but unfortunately I was fresh out of Abby NormalTM brand pickled pigs feet jars. Had to settle for the generic type.
