[Hivemind] Running around like headless chickens

Where are you moving to Gnome?

Just the other side of town, really. But my location will change to Green Bay, WI, USA, so it is somewhat of a big change... the actual name of the town is Hobart, I think, but the address is a Green Bay address.

augh! CHEESEHEAD!

Sorry, Im a Bears fan and my little brother is a Packers fan; I get that way sometimes.

It's okay. :) I'm not really into football, though lots of the people around here are... and they scare me. The traffic around here for a home game is horrendous.

So, played Arcana Unearthed yet, Gnome?

Nope. :( Haven't even gotten the book... part of the problem with being poor. My current job is good, but it's a summer job, and I get paid with a lump sum when it's done... which will be in a couple of weeks.

Oof, that sucks.

Definitely pick it up when you get the chance though; it's awesome. I'm using it for my First Age of Man campaign.

I'll keep my eye out for it. We have a pair of FLGS's around here, though the selection isn't too good... probably going to end up going to the one in Appleton, which is much better.

Any other books you'd recommend? I'm going to be getting quite a bit of money, and though I plan on spending some on anime, magic (as in the CCG), and CDs, the majority of it is going to gaming books.

lesse; I'd say buy Arcana Unearthed, definitely; then save the rest for next summer when I hope to release my monster book, then save the rest for the campaign setting and the Alternate Player's Guide.

Lol. :)

Monster book? Any specific setting or ideas, or just a monster book like the MM?

And... Campaign setting and Alt Player's Guide? Do these go along with your monster book, or are these something else?

They're gonna be a trilogy(assuming I ever get them printed).

The monster book is for my First Age of Man setting; similar to Monsternomicon, it's meant to be both useful for those not running my world and a teaser for my world to generate interest.

Then would come the Alternate Player's Guide, which details the races and classes available in my world; there's a mixture of Arcana Unearthed classes and a few PHB classes, plus rules, additional types of Totem Warriors, and the Spirit Warriors, a replacement for the Champion, which I don't much care for(although the name's probably gonna change).

Then comes the setting book; it details a lot about the First Age of Man, the aftereffects of the War of Immortals that caused the gods to create the mortal races and give them the world, and the like; this one is the last so that plenty of hype can be built up around it and also because it's a lot of fluff.
