Also, find some people who have done this and ask them questions. Some may answer you, some won't. But it is always best to get some info as I've heard this is harder then one thinks.

Again, I agree with Crothian. Find out as much as you can about doing something like that, before you dive in and find yourself in something over your head.

And is three bigarse hardcovers a bit too ambitious for a small publisher(I plan on the monster book clocking in near Tome of Horrors or Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary size; I also want to surpass Monsternomicon's standard of excellence with it; the setting book and the Player's Guide will also hopefully be hardcover)?
