Anything about Aasimar you can remember. particularly feats and such.

Ah, they have some cool racial feats they can take. Like they can grow wings, create daylight and searing light (I think), increase their elemental resistances, and some other stuff.

Most of them are from Mulhorand (sp), because of all the god-kings of old. Umm...umm... they tend to favor hounds and hawks (or whatever the favored animal of their deity is) as pets due to their connection to the gods. Favored class is paladin... Umm... can't think! Does any of that help?

Yea. I had heard about the elemental resistance boost feats for planetouched...but growing wings...and searing light sounds pretty nice. I actualy dont care much about the setting specfic stuff...Mulhorand is interesting but I doubt I would be from their I like Faerun proper itself to much.
I just moved to Indiana and I dont know my way around yet. I havent been able to sit down with a copy of the book and absorb it.

Well their the descendants of half celestials. and they arent really FR specfic beings but they are essentialy a "standard" race in FR.

One would have thought there were enough interesting races in the realms, but I guess they felt the need to import more

Realms are very kitchen sinkey. Still love the setting though.

very true. cant go far in the realms without encountering something completely different. Course, thats what happens when they span a few thousand miles, and there are multiple source authors...

I like FR, though I haven't read any of the books. The variety is what attracts me to it. The amount of 'stuff' in it is amazing, and there's always something new to use or do. It makes the setting more colorful.

Of course I like Scarred Lands for exactly the opposite reason. It is extremely focused on a few ideas. Every city supplement that comes out is always "City of Necromancers," and the like. It's focus allows it to go more in depth on one thing and detail it to the extreme. It makes the setting more colorful.

I guess it just works both ways. It's really just the creatiity/writing ability that's behind something that appeals to me, and I can't complain as long as it's done well. :D

And Aasimar are cool. Only "official" race with a charisma bonus!
