I would imagine it would be quite useful against demons.
A pair of pit fiends suddenly appear in the halls of hell, right beneath the angry eyes of Admodeus, lord of the ninth. The demon lord doesn't look altogether happy to see them.
"What in hell you you two doing here? I thought I sent you to kill that Paladin on the Aerda Prime."
The two pit fiends look at one another, slightly abashed. The braver of the two ventures forward to face his dread lords wrath.
"You did, dread lord, and we went as you wished. We ventured to the prime and searched out the cursed warrior of Pelor that banished your youngest scion with his holy sword. We saught the death of pride and the death of honor, as you commanded, killing his family and spreading rumors that besmirched his reputation. The paladin was wracked with anguish and rage, cast out from his order and church with only his petty god to keep him company. With vengance in his heart he hunted us, seeking to destroy us with his swords and skill. We arrayed our defences, layered the spells that would thwart his every move."
ASmodeus becomes bored with the rendition and returns the first pit fiend to larval form before swallowing it whole. With a grim smile that promises worse punishment, he turns to the second.
"If you did as I commanded, why have you been returned here. How did the paladin banish you?"
"Well Milord," the living pitfiend mumbles, sweating profusely, "It appears he could summon a horde of ravenous bunnies..."
